We met at a workshop two and half years ago, journeyed through an amazing mastermind experience together and have enjoyed numerous conversational retreats that expand the soul. It is my pleasure to feature in this issue of Living Life like Never Before – Tamara Younker.

As a Transformational Presence Coach, I have the amazing opportunity to witness the emergence of my clients’ unique authentic presence, and how that presence then creates a beneficial impact in their relationships, work, community and beyond!

For more than a decade, I have known that I am a transformational presence in the lives of others, but it was only two years ago that I found the courage to leave my 20-year business career behind and follow my dream to become a Certified Coach Practitioner. Through my own journey of discovery, transformation and revelation, I have become aligned with my own authentic presence, and am now blessed to employ my awakened consciousness in service to clients doing work that is abundantly joy-filled and pleasurable. Now, my life takes shape through partnering with the greater potential wanting to emerge through me, and I’m most definitely living life like never before!

My specialty is working primarily with women solo entrepreneurs to determine the energetic structure they’re currently operating from, and the degree of energetic resources available to them with which to consciously create. I guide clients through powerful transformational processes to energetically reorganize into a more expansive way of being releasing habitual patterns that keep them stuck, and increasing their creative capacity and potency. Marie and her Cousins

In this month of love and relationships, I’ve had the wonderful opportunity of reconnecting with many relationships of the heart. Through the technological genius that is Facebook, our family has been enjoying a virtual family reunion. Through our family legacy page I have been able to connect with cousins that I haven’t seen in over 35 years and we have all been united through family photos that date back to the 1920’s. Pure love of the heart!

I have also had the pure joy of being in absolute synergy and growth with many of my business friends as well. There are few things in business better than collaborating with like-minded entrepreneurs and friends who knows both your heart and your vision and is willing to share their strengths with you as you build your business legacy.

Most of all, this month is about the love of connecting with all of you and the growth of IAL. At the beginning of the year we shared with you how we are expanding so that we may serve you better. One of the ways we are expanding is how we deliver this newsletter to you each week.

This Week’s Affirmation:
I nurture each relationship and live each day in love!

For most of my adult life the holiday has meant time off from work and a long four-day weekend perfect for a short vacation. However, when I was young, Labor Day was my mother’s birthday, picnics, magical parades and the first day of school. Today, I have children of my own who have already started their senior year of high school and college. The radio, television and even the Internet share what great savings we’ll enjoy by shopping this weekend. The end of summer is being announced as if it is a season finale instead of a change of seasons. And of course, one of my favorites, the NFL season starts on Thursday.

So today, as I thought about the holiday, I realized that I knew more about how we celebrate and little about it’s origins beyond that it honors those who labor. So in my research, I discovered that Labor Day was originated in Canada out of labor disputes in the 1870s. The parades held in support of the labor movement led to an annual celebration. In 1882, Peter J. McGuire, an American labor leader was inspired to organize the first American “labor day” after witnessing one of the labor festivals in Toronto. The first American Labor Day was on September 5, 1882.

Now I must admit that the way we celebrate is much more uplifting than the origins of its birth but it caused me to reflect on the most recent recession and its effect on the workforce. With many different viewpoints to consider including the 90.3% employment rate and the 9.7% unemployment rate, I choose to look at the surge in entrepreneurship and the creativity that displaced workers are using as they transition from their career to their passion.

The gift of this economy is that many people have decided to reclaim ownership of their lives. Over the past year there have been many inspiring stories of people who have decided to reconcile their talent or work experience with their passion and work from their heart.

A few months ago my husband told me the story of Angela Logan who was featured on Headline News. She was facing foreclosure and instead of focusing on the illusion of what she didn’t want to happen she connected with her passion. She raised the money for her mortgage by baking and selling her delicious ‘Mortgage Apple Cakes’. She was so successful that she now has a business that she is aligned with, is profitable and pays it forward to help other homeowners who are having difficulty paying their mortgage. So while there will be plenty of workers who will enjoy a day off on Monday and many who may be looking for jobs online, there will also be plenty of women like Angela who will be starting or expanding their ventures of the heart.

How will you be celebrating your Labor Day?

I look at both of them and I see two wonderfully independent young people who know exactly what they want. I smile as they move swiftly through their day of classes, work, band practice and homework. I remember how when they were young I would tell them, “You can either be a spectator in life or you can be a participant.” They chose the latter! They are great observers of life and in their own way; they are both great implementers as well.

What gives me pause is the illusion of my job being over. And what an illusion it is. It is not over, it is simply shifting. One of the ways that I teach people to realign themselves is to identify and align with the polar opposite of what they are feeling. So instead of feeling sadness for something that will not happen for a year, I choose to feel absolute joy in knowing that they are fully prepared to take flight.

So whether your children are starting pre-school or college and you feel a little sentimental, think about ways this week that you can be the wings beneath their wings and create more family joy.
